    FAQs

What does a typical Clarity Mountain Day look like?

Each Clarity Mountain Day is carefully designed to ensure a memorable experience. Our day begins with an 8–10-kilometre guided hike over mountain terrain, lasting approximately 4 to 5 hours. The pace is set to accommodate all members of the group, with stops along the way for rest and admiration of the landscape. A definite highlight is our break at the summit, where we take time to enjoy a bite to eat, capture photographs, and if weather permits, take in the breathtaking views. When we return to the starting point, we encourage all participants to join us at a local cafe or pub. This provides a fantastic opportunity to socialise, share experiences from the day, and strengthen bonds before parting ways.

Who can join Clarity Mountain Days?

Our community is open to business owners, senior leaders, and their teams. All genders are welcome. You must have a moderate level of fitness and be capable of completing a walk which will involve walking in mountain terrain and sections of uphill and downhill.

How often do Clarity Mountain Days take place?

Our walks are organised throughout the year. Specific dates will be emailed to the group in advance.

What should I bring to a Clarity Mountain Day?

Participants are advised to bring adequate walking gear, including sturdy shoes/boots, waterproof jacket, warm clothing, rucksack, plenty of water, a packed lunch, sunscreen, and a hat. We also recommend bringing a sense of adventure and openness to new experiences! A full kit list will be sent to you in advance of the day.

Who leads the Clarity Mountain Days hikes?

Each of our walks is led by a qualified and experienced mountain leader. They have extensive experience in mountain environments and are trained to manage risks, administer 1st aid, and respond to any challenges that may arise during the day.

What if the weather forecast isn't very good?

Our walks continue in all weathers, but safety is our paramount concern. If the weather is inclement, we may adjust the route to ensure a safe and enjoyable day out. Our experienced mountain leader will make the necessary alterations based on the weather conditions and the capabilities of the group.

Do I have to bring a packed lunch?

Yes, we strongly recommend bringing a packed lunch or pick up some lunch on your journey to the meeting point.

How do we get to the start of the walk?

We encourage participants to car share to get to the start of the walk. It’s a great opportunity to get to know other members of the group, and it’s also more eco-friendly. Specific meeting points and times will be provided in advance for each walk.
